What to expect at a putter fitting
During a putter fitting, you’ll go through an analysis of your stroke, setup, alignment, and tempo using high-tech tools. Our Professionals will help match you with the ideal head shape, loft, lie angle, shaft length, and grip to optimize consistency and feel on the greens.
Do putter shafts really make a difference?
Yes. While subtle, putter shafts can affect feel, stability, and stroke consistency. Heavier or stiffer shafts may suit players with faster strokes, while softer or more flexible options can enhance touch and feedback.
Do I need a 34 or 35-inch putter?
It depends on your height, posture, and putting setup. 34″ is a common fit for many players, while 35″ suits taller golfers or those who stand more upright. A fitting ensures the length supports proper eye position and comfortable mechanics.
How do you size yourself for a putter?
Proper putter sizing is based on your setup posture and arm position. Ideally, your eyes should be over or just inside the ball, with relaxed arms. A fitting can measure this and recommend the correct putter length and lie angle.
What size putter do I need for my height?
While general guidelines exist (e.g., 33″ for under 5’6”, 34″ for 5’7”–6’0”, 35″ for over 6’0”), the best length is based on your posture and stroke style, not just height. A fitting is the most accurate way to determine this.
What is the best way to grip a putter?
The best putter grip is the one that promotes comfort, control, and a square face at impact. Common grip styles include reverse overlap, claw, and cross-handed, and a fitter can help you find the one that suits your stroke type and feel preference.
What should my putter length be?
Your putter should be long enough to let your arms hang naturally and position your eyes over the ball. Most players fit into 33″–35″ putters, but custom length ensures better posture, alignment, and consistency.

What Our Clients Say
Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what golfers like you have experienced after getting fitted with us.
“We all play golf to enjoy it—and using clubs suited to my swing makes a big difference. Recently, I felt my irons weren’t performing, so I booked a Trackman session with John Morgan. Trackman clearly showed where my current irons were falling short on ball speed and distance. I tested various shafts and heads to find the best fit, and I’m thrilled with the new set I ordered—delivered in just 10 days.

“The whole process was great, very insightful with all the data from the Trackman and all the aspects of a club fitting carried out perfectly.
It was great to try and all the different heads and shafts. Very easy to make the decision.
All the clubs that you fitted me for, the Driver, Fairways, Irons and Putter and shaved shots of my handicap and made me a more confident golfer.”
